Are my images uploaded?
No. This tool reads, resizes, and encodes the selected images directly in your browser and does not send the image files to our server.
Which image formats are supported?
You can select JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files. Results can be saved as JPG or WebP. WebP support depends on your browser.
What happens to transparent PNG areas when I choose JPG?
JPG does not support transparency. Before conversion, the tool fills transparent areas with white, black, or a custom color you select, preventing an unexpected black background.
Why can the output be larger than the original?
Changing formats, choosing a high quality setting, or increasing the dimensions can produce a larger file. Reduce the quality or dimensions if you need a smaller result.
Will smaller images be enlarged automatically?
Only if you set larger target dimensions and turn off the no-upscale option. When that option is on, smaller images stay at their original size.
Are EXIF and camera details preserved?
Not reliably. Re-encoding may remove metadata such as location, camera model, and capture date. Use the EXIF tool if you need to inspect those details.
